The Countdown Has Begun On Windows 10

Windows 10 was supposed to be the last version of Windows... until it wasn't. It had a good run and most people tended to like it after upgrading from Windows 7. On October 14, 2025 Microsoft will end support for this operating system.

So what does this mean for that computer that has Windows 10? Well, if it has a TPM 2.0 module, and an Intel Core 8th generation or newer (or AMD Ryzen 2nd generation) then you should be able to upgrade for free to Windows 11. There is a free tool you can download to see if your computer is able to upgrade to Windows 11. Click here to download Microsoft's PC Health Check App to see if your computer meets Windows 11 criteria.

What if your computer doesn't meet the criteria? Well then your current system has an end date. Sure, you could install Linux on your computer to let it live longer and there are plenty of good Windows convert distributions out there, but more likely you will need to purchase a new machine. We sell computers from trusted brands and custom build them as well. We can also offer assistance in purchasing a PC for free to make sure you are getting exactly the sort of machine you need so that you do not overspend on your next PC or get one that doesn't meet your needs. We also offer services to transfer all your data from your old system to your new one. If this is something you would like to do with us, you can call or text us at (228) 239-9873 or go to our website to request a quote.

We do not recommend sticking with Windows 10 after support has ended. You will be left behind for any updates and would mean your computer would be vulnerable to any newly discovered flaws in the operating system. If you have any questions about Windows 10, your PC, or anything else we can help with, please contact us!
